2006 Mini Cooper TPMS and dcs lights
2006 Mini Cooper TPMS and dcs lights
1st time mini owner.
Glad I found this site.
Tire pressure light and traction light will not go out. Vehicle seems fine besides the lights staying on. Any help? I don’t think speed sensor because no abs light.
I have a weird creek sound when turning going slow, like pulling in a parking spot.
One more thing, next to the air box there are 2 hoses part of cooling system maybe to the heater core? Anyway where the hoses connect there is something that looks like a bleeder or something on top have a small leak there.

The tire pressure and dsc lights are likely due to an abs sensor that has gone bad. it could be other things, but theabs sensor is most likely; otherwise you need to have the error codes pulled to see if it is something else. change the front drivers side ABS sensor with a VDO or an OEM one.

its the one that failed on my car; my MINI guy says its the only one he’s ever had to replace on customer cars. dont do what i did and cheap out on the sensor like i did: i bought one made by “vemo”. It cleared the dash lights, but wreaks havoc with the traction control. VDO makes the MINI one, i still have to get me one....
There are other things that can cause the tpms/dsc and sometime abs lights besides an abs sensor; if you dont want to guess and “throw parts at it”, have a good MINI shop pull the codes and identify exactly which sensor has failed. Your choice. good luck.
