Does anyone happen to know if the r56 JCW carbon fiber spoiler will fit on a r53? There happens to be someone semi local with one that they are asking $500 obo on the price. Currently I have the stock spoiler, but its showing its age as the clear coat has started to die on it. I don't want to get my hopes up if it won't even fit.

 

As a direct bolt on, no it will not fit. With a fair amount of modification anything is possible.

If it is just your clear that is failing why not get it resprayed? I would hazard this would cost you less than buying the R56 one.

 

Most likely I will get the stock resprayed at some point. Last thing I want to do is modify a carbon fiber part as its going to be a mess.
