How can I quickly restart after stalling?

This is slightly embarrassing, but it happened... I’ve been driving manual transmissions for most of my 20 years of legal driving, and initially learned to drive one when I was 8, so I’ve got some experience. I haven’t stalled one in a while, but managed to stall my still new to me justa in traffic the other day. I couldn’t get it to start again until I released the key, and reinserted it. Then it started like normal. Of course, I missed the light, and made a whole line of people happy with my bone headed move. There HAS to be a faster way to restart it without removing the key. I don’t want to intentionally stall it to find out, so I’m turning to all of you. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Feet on the clutch and brake, then push the button.

Pretty sure that’s exactly what I tried immediately, but I’ll play with it and see if it behaves differently when I am holding up traffic.

Try it in a parking lot, if you can. I often get flustered when I stall in traffic and will forget to put my foot on the brake.

You don't have to remove the key to restart the car.
Just turn it off, foot on the clutch pedal and brake, and turn on the ignition.

It's nothing to be ashamed of. At least you weren't in a tiny car in a sea of gigantic SUVs.

On my car all I have to do is push the clutch and starter button. No brake required.

Thanks for all the responses. I intentionally stalled it last night on the way home, pushed the clutch in, and on the brake, it immediately restarted. I'm not sure what was going on before, since that is pretty much my automatic reaction to a stall. I think it's sorted now, I was just doing something stupid.
