Help! PS? Pump? Pulley?

The car has developed a high pitch wine on cold start. I brought it to the mechanic and they are saying it’s the power steering pulley. I did some research and found that this car has an electric power steering pump. If that’s the case what it still have a pulley? Either they’re wrong or what they found is not the power steering pulley question ma The car has developed a high pitch wine on cold start. 1st off you need a new mechanic. There isn't a power steering pump on the car let alone a pulley to drive it so find someone that knows about MINIs.

could be many things and without hearing it we would all be just throwing darts at a wall.
