2009 CAB Grounded alternator Socket

While in the process of changing the oil filter housing I dropped a socket and it wedged between the alternator and the heat shield. I heard a loud pop and the car went dead. I then disconnected the battery like I should have in the beggining. Now that the oil filter housing gasket repair is finished I started the car and the windows do not work the scwaben scanner shows numerous errors such as
d904/ not present cas:k-can line fault
a0b4/not present cas:?engine start, stater operation .
A0c1/not present cas: output , terminal 50
e5c4 /not present CID : k-can line fault
a688/not present cvn: coding data
and numerous others.

How do I proceed in rectifing these challenges that I now have?

im trying to picture how the socket got in the way, but what happened is that nut on alternator is the positive wire. it routs to the starter and then goes to a 1 to 5 kind off connector behind the plastic cover. not knowing how long the "short" lasted and the extent of the damage, clear out the codes and see what pops back. if the car starts, test the windows, lights, radio, horn, wipers...etc

It released from the 3/8 ratchet.
