Intermittent driver side headlight

Hey folks,

My R53 with non-xenon headlights has a driver side low beam that goes on and off (more off than on recently.) At first I thought it was a crispy plug but the plug looks fine. Then I thought the filament in the bulb was subtly broken, but replacing the bulb didn't fix things. My next step is to dive into the wiring to try to figure out where the disconnect is, but I thought I'd ask first to see if anyone else has experienced the issue. Could it be a bad relay? Has anyone else seen this? What are your thoughts?

Cheers,
Duane

I had the same problem. It was a chaffed wire near the bonnet hinge.

Yes, check up on the harness, the clamshell hood can close and the harness can rub.
