Fuel pressure test??

Hey guys and gals. I'm new to the site and hope this hasn't been answed a million times.

so, I've got a 2003 MCS. I feel some power loss and suspect a fuel flow issue. I've looked for how to do a fuel pressure test on this car but can't find where to attach the gauge. Any help would be awsome!!

The hook up is on the fuel rail. It looks like a tire valve. It is tough to get to.

Welcome to NAM.

Going to move you to the Gen1 Stock Problems/Issues area. Thinking 70k is the interval for changing the fuel filter. How many miles you have?

the car has just over 130k, So its probably due... not totally sure fuel is the issue, some days the car just "feels" slow. figure its gotta be O2, fuel, spark, or boost right?

Before going for fuel, check spark first.

There should be no rust on the coil pack terminals with the boots pulled off. If there is, grab a soft metal brush and carefully scrub the rusty crap off. If your plugs haven't been replaced in a while, it never hurts to get new ones. Wires too. Ireland Engineering makes a great cheap set of wires. Best plugs are NGK BKR6EQUP for stock s/c pulley cars, and BKR7EQUP for JCW/reduced pulley cars.

With these cars, spark is the most likely source for low power if you haven't been tinkering with other stuff.

Bad fuel filter will likely result in cold start issues and/or a loss of top end power, accompanied with a strange, hard to describe, tingy-er(?) engine note at full throttle above 5k.

Good luck and keep us updated! (And one more welcome to NAM!)
