R53 Supercharger Damage?

Was getting some work done on the R53 and noticed the "scrapes" on the ends of the vanes of the supercharger. I've not seen or heard of this before. I know clearances are super tight in there...

Thoughts?

I gather you meant to say you can feel something scraping in the SC when you hand turn the pulley. If so it must be a sign of it is on the way out. The two rotors are not supposed to touch but the spaces have to be quite tight. Likely the bearings and/or gears are worn. I have no firsthand experience.

We see this all the time as it is pretty common so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

No sound nor sensing of the “supercharger self-destruct song.”
