2008 Mini Cooper Auto Trans question

Hello everyone. I am currently helping a friend work on her 08 min S. I’m an avid dyi and she took it to a shop to have it looked at. Long story short I replaced the vacuum pump pvc hose for a fraction they were gonna charge. In the process I noticed a “wire/ hose/ lying loose on top of the transmission. It appears to plug ont the top of the transmission underneath the electric fuse box. However I can’t for the life of me figure out where the other end goes. It’s a short black firm hose with three holes on the end... almost as though it plugs into a relay/ switch.

Hey thanks! Also I’ve been digging all day online. Is this possibly a breather vent tube for the transmission case?

I don't remember but I've seen this exact same question asked and answered on NAM with similar photo. So the answer is here, now to find it! Sherlock?

this 24007563920 part no, still no idea where it plugs into.

You are correct. there is a plastic inlet on the transmission right under the mount.
