Sound when starting car

I know this is probably a long shot but I figured I would ask anyway.

I am getting a strange sound when starting the car, it started last week.

The car is 2006 MCS JCW with 140,000km.

That car always made a bit of a noise when shifting gears (not from shifter), its a kind of small click/clunk sound when I left off the throttle.

Now when I start the car right after it starts I hear this thunk/clunk sound. I cant tell where the sound is coming from. I feels like something is loose and is Knocking from the engine moving due to the start.

It makes that sound if the engine is cold (over night, after work ect). If the engine is warm, it doesn't make that sound, but it makes another sound right before the engine starts (not after). Sounds like the first gear chewbaca sound but really short version of it.

So hard to explain these sounds, anyone care to take a guess as to what it could be??

The car does start fine (not struggling) idles fine and drives fine (no loss in power)

Going to move you to the Stock Problems/Issues area.

Have you checked the motor mounts?
