Engine rattle

Since a few weeks ago I could hear a strange sound in my engine. Something similar to the "death rattle", only while the engine was on iddle.
I was looking into the engine but I could not detect where it came from.
Today I finally discovered where the sound is coming from.
And I think the cause of this new vibration in the engine is the NM engine torque arm insert few months ago.

My question is: it is safe to unscrew this metal cap, remove it and reinstall it to try to eliminate this rattle?

Bump!

Just to check with you if it is easy and safe to remove the metal cover on the video.
It seems that the task involve just to remove the 3 bolts on the upside...

I would leave it on because it helps with under hood temperatures. You may be able to bend it a little so it is not rattling anymore.

My idea is not to permanently remove it but remove it to see how I can reinstall it eliminating the rattle.
My doubt is if it is safe to remove it and reinstall it (an easy job) or if it is a job that should be done in the indy shop.

I can not see how complex the re-installation could be

Removing it should be safe. Just try to see where it is touching and causing the noise. Some times you can bend the heats shield up just a little to stop it from tapping on the exhaust or other parts. It may need to be moved just a little, a washer under the heat shield on each bolt may do it. But its safe to remove it and take a look.

After removing the metal cover and trying many times to get the noise away, the solution was to eliminate the NM arm insert installed few months ago.

After that and and with a simple manipulation, the vibration and noise are gone forever.
