I had service performed on my 2004 and was told my low speed fan was inoperative. Apparently it hasn't worked for so many years that I forgot I had a cooling fan.

Since I have gone so long without the fan, why should I repair it now?

Very important if you have AC. Low speed + AC + no low speed fan = dead compressor

Decided to replace the resistor. After many years in SoCal with no fan, I guess I can blessings. A/C still fine.
