Ps fan inop

2005 mini cooper s , low speed fan is working , the ps fan is not seized and has been tested (jumped with power and ground)....after driving for approx 1 hr it will blow fuse f3 under hood.
anyone has experienced this ?

Would think the fan is over-amping thereby blowing the fuse. How many miles on car? Fan original? Bearings wear out all the time and the fan motor is basically a bearing with a magnet on it.

the fan was replaced by previous owner , its been bench tested and the fan works .

Just because the fan "runs" does not mean it is not over-amping.

Something is blowing the fuse that means either the lead is going to ground, shorting out, or the motor is going (over-amping). The "bench test" included checking the amps, correct???

With the car running and AC on the PS fan is not getting power ..all fuses are ok? Wth !!!

K69923 Relay EHPS is for the power steering fan that is behind the passenger compartment fuse panel. I am wondering if this is your problem.

Thanks for the info , found the relay on drivers side .
Going to replace it and check the fan
