Control arm bushings quote

Control arm bushings quote
I have a 2006 MCS with 148k miles that needs to have the control arm bushings replaced sooner than later. I'm the 3rd owner so I'm unsure of any past replacements. I just called the local garage and got quoted $325 for replacing just the 2 bushings and if I also needed all 4 ball joints replaced, the total would be $680 for bushings and ball joints. Does this sound like a reasonable quote?

I'm in Atlanta and I was quoted by the dealership $1100 just for the control arm bushings. Make sure you use PowerFlex bushings so you won't have to change them again. For that price, I would get everything done. All of those items are connected to the sub frame, which has to be lowered to get them replaced. Since they are already in there, have them check your "Crank Sensor Monitor O-ring, it's a $10 item that goes bad and causes severe leaks as well as your Power Steering hoses.

We charge $450 labor plus $86 for Powerflex bushings and $125 for an alignment, so $325 is on the lower side of a quote; especially for a shop that may or may not have experience or know what they're getting into.
When we have the car in service mode we try to seal the crank sensor while it's apart to that point, no use in replacing an o-ring that's just going to start leaking again, clean everything up really well and apply a bead of RTV around the sensor and reinstall.
