Rough morning start, ODBII codes inside. Possibly HPFP??

2009 MCS, 107k miles, have had the HPFP replaced twice already.

I've had some mornings lately where starting is difficult (~65f outside). Sometimes it takes several attempts and then runs just fine, sometimes it takes several attempts then stalls if I don't keep RPMs above 1k for a min or so (less frequent), and sometimes it isn't troublesome at all.

My bluetooth ODBII reader is throwing the following codes:
  • p3149 Cylinder 1 High Pressure Injector High Side Circuit Low
  • p3152 Cylinder 2 High Pressure Injector High Side Circuit Low
  • p3155 Cylinder 3 High Pressure Injector High Side Circuit Low
  • p3158 Cylinder 4 High Pressure Injector High Side Circuit Low

Searching for any of these codes does not return anything definitive, so I'm hoping someone here has better investigative abilities or experience that can help.

Thanks much.

your guess is probably right on! it seems that the pump design is bad to begin with even when new.

on another note, how is your battery? it could be low on juice.

I’m getting the same codes on my 2010 clubman s. Did you ever figure out what was causing the codes?

Codes seem to be caused by a low power supply or a wiring issue, possibly a faulty DME/ECU
