Advice on Aftermarket Turbos (Dorman, Rotomaster)

Hello Everyone-

I have a 2009 Mini Cooper Clubman S. It went into Limp Mode. I took it to the stealer and the diagnosis is new Turbo. It's the wastegate.

I need a little advice on aftermarket turbos. This is my last draw with my Clubman (3 valve covers, 2 watertemp sensors,, Intake manifold, water pump, auxilary waterpump, thermostat housing, Turbo Oil line, etc...) , . I'm just done and I'm going to sell or trade it in after the turbo repair. So, I'm not entirely considering longevity, but don't want to completely screw the next person that owns it. It's my understanding that BorgWarner makes the turbo for Mini. I understand that should probably be my first choice. However, I have seen Turbos from Dorman and Rotomaster on RockAuto and elsewhere for $300 less. Does anyone have experience with these? Just as good? Or stick with the BorgWarner?'

Thanks for your help.

Wow;
Turbos for $300???

Even a rebuilt one for a MINI will cost twice that. Go with the usual vendors here to get a rebuilt one, I think the next owner will be more gratefull than with a cheap turbo.

$300 less than the BorgWarner turbo. Not $300 the total cost.
