front window doesn't work

suddenly driver's side front window doesn't work today. i've tried one that was posted on youtube but it didn't work though.
it sounds only ticking when i press the switch. do I have to buy window motor or regulator as well?

In my experience that sounds like motor. Regulator would either clatter or bind when you hit the switch.

I had the same ticking sound issue on my 02 S when the window wouldn't go down. I used the "hard punch" technique and it fixed it. I'm not sure if that's what you're referring to when you mention what was posted on youtube. You really have to hit hard. The guys in the videos are not hitting hard. You have to hit HARD!
