Low oil pressure after new vacuum pump install????

2008 Mini Cooper S---After installing a new vacuum pump my low pressure oil light comes on and off on and off when the car warms up and the rpm sets in at idle. Goes away above 1100 rpm The oil and filter were changed 5 days earlier before the vacuum pump change and oil is full. At that time I had no problems. Thought it might be the low pressure sensor so I bought and installed a new one, which didn't stop it. I might put the old vacuum pump back on to see if the light stays off. First I'll check the oil feed hole on the new vacuum pump to see if there is any blockage and if the light stays off . Any suggestions? Light stays off above 900rpm The new vacuum pump is working like it should and I had no problems with oil pressure until I installed it.

I am going to move this to the Gen2 section as you have an 08. Let me know if your car is a R52, if so, I will move it back.

Not sure about the cause, can't relate the fix to issue you have. Just as an idea, may be hole is dirty, and new pump had made some air bubble inside. You could try taking it off and trying to fill with oil manually. Once again, just an idea.

I'm having the same issue I took my car into the shot and I was told my oil pump, oil pan gasket and oil filter with a new cruch washer. They did the job and I still have the same issue.
