I have been hearing a higher then normal gear sound, My suspicion is the super charger bearings? also associated with this is a high pitch whine almost like a whistle. How bad is it to rebuild a super on the bench ? The cherry on top this morning heading into work was my clutch decided to start slipping in 6th when moderately accelerated. valeo clutch kit, has roughly 40k on it, had a good break in, I drive care mostly freeway with the spirited mixed in. Question is 40 k early for a valeo? I Have been leaking some oil, making me think I might be leaking out of rear seal ? If not the valeo clutch which one? feeling bummed ....

My guess would be the sc isn't making that noise. The only part I've heard fail are the water part gears, and only because they ran out of oil. If it is bad it does take special tools to rebuild and it's really not a job for a normal DYIer

That's not good news about Valeo. I sure hope I get more than 40k. Currently have around 15k on mine.
