Sliding switch behind emergency brake handle

Can't find mention of it in owners manual. Seems to activate a pump. ABS?
06 convertible automatic, not S

Do you have a pic? The only switches I've seen around the emergency brake handle are the mirrors and seat heaters, the tire pressure reset switch, and the driving light switch if the factory extension cable was used to relocate it. Behind the brake lever should be the rear cup holder.

That area doesn't exist on an '06. The console changed in 2005 and the tire pressure reset is on one side of the brake lever, and a switch blank is usually on the other side, unless the driving light switch was relocated using the optional harness. The console was extended with the built in tray to butt up against the shifter console and the mirror switch plate.

If he does have that console, maybe one of the previous owners replaced the center console with a pre FL console.

The silver slider below the joystick? That's to switch between adjusting the passenger mirror and the driver's mirror.
