How to remove chrome interior trim?

I want to de-chrome the entire inside. The vents, the shifter, the ebrake and whatever else I can think of. Anyone know how to remove the chrome rings and whatnot?

Are you looking at replacing it with the silver painted units? If so, I may be interested in your chrome trim for the speedometer and side air vents. I just changed my silver pieces for the cupholders and handbrake to the chrome units. They are easy to change out, but the speedometer and side vents are a little more involved. There is a writeup for changing these out if you search for it.
