I have a p0301 code showing on my code reader. I changed out the knock sensor after the p0327 code showed. I checked the plugs they all look good. I swapped the coil from #1 cyl to #2 cyl. Code still comes back after being cleared. Any other ideas what might cause the misfire in #1 cyl. The car drives okay but you can feel the hesitation and then the code gets thrown after being cleared. All this started after I changed out the oil cooler gasket which was a real pain in the neck to do i might add. Thank you for help

when was the last
time the car was
carbon blasted ?
have you double check all the wire's
to make sure you didn't pull any thing
out when doing the
seal?
an when you swap the coil from 2 to 1 your still getting the misfire ? Did you check the plug'
Thanks for the reply. I haven't done the carbon blasting. What is the story behind that? I did swap the coils and the code still reappeared after doing so. The plugs all look good. They have a nice tannish color. I did not check the plug gap though. The plugs are newish, replaced in the last 8 or 9 months. None of the wires look out of place since the oil cooler gasket replacement.

very commen problem with the r56
High mileage n14 engine, my bet is on either carbon on the valves (as bigboost mentioned) or low compression. Fortunately both are easy to confirm. If you're lucky, it's carbon build up..
The intake manifold is removed, then the valves and intake chamber is blasted with walnut shells. Common problem on the n14 engine. And nope, Seafoam won't help as these are direct injection engines..
