Recently I've been having issues with my 2006 R53 (manual) not starting every now and then. Battery's good, starter's good, everything would light up but no attempt to crank. I'd get out and jiggle some wires and keep attempting to start it and eventually it would start.

Today, however, I had a different issue. It did the same non-start thing when I left work, got it started eventually, but then when I got home and turned the car off and removed the key (!) it was still running. After cycling the key from the off to the just before cranking position many times, I was able to get the car turned off, but the radiator fan continued to run in the off position. More key turning finally got that to turn off.

I'm thinking ignition switch, but I wanted to get y'alls opinion on this before I order one. Any thoughts?
