Blower motor and fuse box
Blower motor and fuse box
Hi. I just registered but have been lurking for a bit. I have a 2006 Cooper (r50) its a great little car. The blower motor for the heat/ac quit working, just quit. After checking all the fuses i took the car to a local shop thats been around 30 years, BMW VW Mercedes. I was told that there is no power to the blower motor. they said the interior fuse panel needed to be replaced prior to even checking to see if the blower motor was good, relay for this motor is incorporated into the fuse panel?
No other electrical problems with the car. Does this sound correct? I thought the relay was made imto motor. Auto climate controlled car. Thank

I've got an S, not a just a, but have not heard this before. Some relays are mounted on the back of the fuse block, but they looked replaceable to me. Did you look on realoem to see if you can buy that relay individually? if you post your build date I will check for you if you haven't used that site
Does anyone know of a way to test this? I was moving the car a few weeks back and out of nowhere it cut off. No noise prior to that all fuses check out and if I give current to the blower it will turn on and I can even adjust the speed.
