Throttle makes it slow down!

Out of the blue: when I floor it, it bogs down and slows up, what's the common problem? It's a 2003 R53 with only 40k miles, pretty much stock.
Cheers,
Ray

Sorry, should have mentioned that, but no, no lights or anything, just no power! It's otherwise been the ideal car, never any problems. Could it have anything to do with the M7 thermostat I installed that keeps it running cooler?

Wow low miles. Usually the thermostat would give a code if it's running too cold. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will chime in.

I never got this issue fixed, but I did realize something: when I floor it in 2nd to redline it maxes out because it feels like it has no more air intake, like it's choking. From then on it becomes sluggish like it can't breath in!

I have an Alta COI and an Alta single exhaust, so I know it should be breathing well...

Manual or automatic? Could be a bad fuel pump or fouled injectors that aren't capable of supplying the high volume of fuel you need at WOT.
