CC-ID 231 Light malfunction

Hello miniacs,

Last night I went out to start my 2010 R56 Mini Cooper and immediately tried to put the windows down. The passenger side went down a hair and the drivers side stayed up. Now neither of them will budge. The sunroof opened just fine so we decided to leave the house. As we started driving, a red mini on a lift symbol came up. We then noticed that the turn signals didn't work but the hazards did. After that, all the exterior lights worked, but we went to turn them off and they stayed on. Then the high beams didn't work.

Battery was just replaced 6 months ago.
I have no aftermarket lights.
All the fuses are fine.
I have no scheduled maintenance due.

No code popped up on a code reader because there's no check engine light, but as we were scrolling through the options on the car, it gave us a CC-ID 231 code.

Anyone have any idea what this could be?
Thanks in advance!

CCID codes are useless in diagnostic, you need to find someone or a shop with a quality scan tool to read what is going on.

Did you install the proper size battery, and did you code it to the car?

I've had to replace the FRM in a couple of cars that had weird electrical gremlins.

My boyfriend is a mechanic and had a mini for a few years. He has a great code scanner and nothing came up.
The correct battery is in it and yes its coded.
Do you think resetting the computer would help at all?

If you are having problems with lights not coming on, or vice versa there will be codes stored for it, what tool does he have? He needs to be able to access the FRM, and if he can't do that then you need to find a tool that can.
