So... my R53's Fuel tank strap snapped...
luckly just one side.
i looked up parts to replace and seems like R53 design is "H" design
and R56 is double "I" "I" design.
Does anybody know if I can put R56 part on R53 car?
someone mentioned that u gotta take off exhaust to put new fuel tank strap on R53s... and putting R56 part seems easier.
Has anybody tried this? or know fuel tank dimension?
Imo it would seem if the straps are so different, the tanks are very different, and it would not work...
I would hate to use the wrong straps and have the tank rub or chafe.....since the WRONG STRAPS were used.. and cause a hole or let the tank vibrate...you are dealing with gas....boom!!
