Bently Manual Review
Went away this past labor day weekend and when I came back I was delightfully suprised to find my Bently Manual that I preordered and forgot about.
It is very thick and from what I have seen so far very thorough. I find it a lot easier to navigate than the BMW TIS CD that I had an opportunity to play with. I thought it was well worth the $100. Anyone else have any comments?

got mine on sept 2nd. It's big, almost 1000 pages, with lots of info
including general data and maintenance, engine, transmission, suspension
steering and brakes, body, body equipment, electrical system, equipment
and accessories, wiring diagrams, and OBD info. There are references to
special tools needed where required, and a lot of pictures. I have the
TIS and ETK cdroms also, and they are a lot sketchier and harder to
use than the Bentley manual. Covers the 2002 to 2004 MC and MCS
models for the US, so no convertible info, of course.
I recommend it!

I got mine from http://www.bentleypublishers.com/ but I preordered it so I probably got one of the first ones. I don't know if they are backordered like amazon but I paid the full $99.95

I ordered ours from Amazon.com - it's supposed to ship next week...:smile: It's the best price around right now. :smile: I'm stashing it away as a Christmas present for hubby....

Just received my Bentley Manual today and spent a good part of the day thumbing through it with a beer.
The neighbors are now completely convinced that I'm nuts given my choice of light reading.
The manual is quite good with useful photos and easily accessable torque specs - it even has photos of BMW "special tools" in use rather than just listing the part numbers for same. Frequently those tools can be custom made for "recreational use" so long you have a picture to work from.
