The multifunction buttons on the steering wheel R/T and phone icon does not do anything when pushed.

Can this be programed or additional wiring need to be added?

I just got the car and by vin it shows multifunction steering wheel option so I assume it is the correct wheel.

the multi function wheel always has the bluetooth buttons

even when bluetooth was not installed .....

it is my understanding that the factory bluetooth is a royal PIA to install after the fact,
folks who sell most factory add ons (like drving lights) do not carry this

and there are more cost effective aftermarket systems .... there may be wiring kits to
make the buttons work .... (after a bluetooth module is installed)
