I've always had trouble with my hood release but this weekend after doing a bunch of work and placing the car into service mode I now can not open up the hood. I greased the latch and made sure everything was working fine but to my surprise I was unable to open it up again yesterday. I've pulled the lever ALL THE WAY BACK but it won't give. I've seen threads on this in the past but can no longer locate them. Can someone please provide me with instruction on how to get it open? Thanks in advance.

If it helps, I had major issues with mine - it pulled so hard I couldn't get it open and the cable kept coming loose.

Turns out the hood stops were adjusted so there was no "play" in the hood - the latches were always under tension and couldn't be released properly. A few turns and it works fine now.
