Alternator Replacement
Hello all!
I'm in the process of replacing an alternator on my R55, and I wanted to make sure I get the correct one since there seems to be different types for the car. I "think" that my VIN should tell me what kind I need, but I'm lost on how to determine it from that. Any guidance is appreciated!

Try using www.realoem.com You can put in the last 7 of your vin and then click Browse Parts and then click Engine Electrical system. See if you can match yours to the 120a or 150a pictures.
