Has anyone experienced an issue with the washer/wiper stalk control? My R56 washers stoped working... all of them at once, front, back, headlights - nothing pumps. My mechanic says it is the switch in the stalk. Any other thoughts?
If its the front and the back it might be the stalk , can u hear the pumps run when you move the stalk, can you wiggle the stalk as you move it to use the washers ?
The stalk is part of the swicth unit: 61319253769 61319253770
Silly question of course, but I must ask. You're sure there is fluid correct? Also, has it been cold by you? Be sure to check and make sure there isn't any condensation that may be freezing in them as just another alternative. Can you hear the pump working/functioning? Some info HERE at post #4 with another alternative as to what it could be.
Ok... yes it has fluid... it is not that cold!! I do not hear the pump running even when I jiggle whilst holding washer switch on either front or back. I have seen an occasional dribble come out the back. I hear a click noise, sounds like friom the right, in the interior when I activate the washer either front or back.
