Tranny probs

Tranny makes a grinding noise when down shifting , unless i rev match the gears shifts up fine , clutch now engages like an inch from the floor what could this be?

Sounds like either a badly worn clutch, or a hydraulic problem in the clutch actuation circuit.

How many miles are on your clutch? I'd also check to make sure you don't have any hydraulic leaks anywhere possibly.

The clutch , pressure plate, or slave cylinder could be bad. Check the slave cylinder out first and look for down by the transmission connection. How many miles.

It has 58k on it dealer said they are gonna try replacing the throw out bearing and clutch
