Defroster

I have an '03 MCS w/ Auto Climate Control. Is it just me, or is it impossible to run the defroster without the fan maxed out?

Upon hitting the "-" button to reduce fan speed the defroster is disengaged.

On a rainy day of course I want the cranked up fan the 1st time I hit defrost but after that I just want to leave it with a constant low-speed stream of air.

Maybe I need to have it in "auto" mode for this to function properly?

Press and hold the defrost button and it will drop off from "jet turbine emulation" mode... You can then adjust the speed of the defroster...
