Window alignment issue kinda

Hey guys. On phone so pardon typos and short text.

03 mini cooper S hard top

Installed window regulator on drivers side as per instructions on popular post AND cross referenced it ALL DATA.

Goes up and down but when you open the door it doesn't suck the window down. It acts like it wants to and the rear goes down maybe 3mm but front doesnt move at all.

I unplugged the battery for various lengths of time up to 30 minutes, oushed UP button and without letting go, held for additional 5-10 seconds. Different posts say different times. Tried up to 30 seconds.. also tried rolling it up and letting off of the button then holding up for 5 to 30 seconds. All variations at least 15 times. Motor moves when u open door but window does not. It sucks the tension out of one part of the wire and releases spring pressure on another. Tried adjusting tensioner at various levels of tension up to 105% of travel on the tension bolt. I.e. ALL the way tight, and went below dealer factory setting and everywhere between.

It just will not crack like its supposed to..even sprayed it all down with silicone lube. Window sits where it is supposed to sit when closed.

Help?

Did you do the pre-tension on the window after installing? Here is a article from Pelican if you haven't it tells you how.
And when I reinstalled my windows after my rebuild I had to take them all the way to the bottom close the door then roll them up and hold it for the 20 sec or so to calibrate.

Thanks.

Yeah i did the pre tensioning. And even if u stick a screwdriver in the door latch to activate it without closing the door, it still doesnt crack.
I thought it may be too hard against the seals too.. turned out not. :-/

Looks like this may be an issue that people have dealt with before. There is some information in this thread here that may be helpful to you. Post #8 gives some info if the reset doesn't work, which in your case it didn't. Some people pointed out that there could be an issue due to too warm or cold of environments, but not sure this is your exact problem.
