I was just wondering.. cuze i am in the process of choosing my gauges for my gauge pod and i just want to be sure that i dont get a set of gauges that don't take the mini's voltage
Yeah, when the car's voltage drops much below 12V, it won't start.
You'd be happy to know that despite all the high-tech electronics contained in our MINIs, as long as you have a manual transmission, you can still push-start it if your battery is low. As long as there is enough juice to enable to computer (you can tell this by the warning lights coming on when you turn the key to the 'run' position), there should be enough to get it to run once you push start it.
thanks for the replies... i am looking at defi bf gauges with the red glow... at least somewhat matching the mini during the night but completely out of place during the day.. o well i can get a very good deal on them!
Are you planning to get the factory guage face plate that goes under the
HVAC, or doing the guage next to the tach?
