Space Behind Fender Liner

When I open the bonnet and look straight down thru the space between the wing and the body I see an accumulation of leaves and debris coming up halfway up the space defined by the rear of the fender liner. Anyone have a way to service this other than popping the plastic rivets? Any suggestions to cover the exremities of the cowl to keep stuff form dropping in there?

What year is it. Look at ours (2011) and I see now issue. With Bonnet closed no way for debris to get in there, unless your is missing something. A picture would be helpful.

Ours is 2010. Appears that stuff from the trees over the driveway lands on the car, gets washed by rain and wind down to the cowl and slips under the hood and down the base of the A pillars. Quite a gap around the hinge.

That was th only place I saw looking at mine. You might have to get a car cover. The have them that are made for the weather. See if you buy or make an extension for you vacumn that fits so you can suck the gunk out.

I opened the rear of the liners and grabbed some handfulls of composted matter. Followed it up with a good rinse with a hose. Next will try to fab some flaps to keep ice from building there in winter. Never had such issues with my SAABs.
