I read online that this could be a fuel pump inertia switch but i have a 2005 mini cooper s (r53) and from my understanding they stopped using these in 2002. Any idea how i can reset this switch?

In addition to this the mini will not shut off and remain off it will just cut off and come back on, the check engine light and EML will come on then dissappear and the TPMS + DSC lights will stay on

Sounds more like a loose relay or a touchy fuse... if it was the fuel pump inertia switch (look here)

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ct-switch.html

These can be found on R50, R52, and the R53 W11 engines

Hope this helps...

Motor on!
