I have had similar shifting problems with my 05 MCSa as described for a long long while. It is normal when cold and shifts terrible when at operating temp.

I just did a valvebody change at a transmission shop that remanufactures them and they seems to know what they are doing and was referred by one of the member here on this board.

Just changed it today with fluid change as well, using synthetic ATF.

The car shifts nicely and just the way it should be.

If you need contact of that shop, please PM.

Thanks

Tom

Congrats on getting your car back to normal. Feels good doesn't it? Thanks for sharing.

Well, basically some of these transmission shops would replace the valve body with good, working solenoids from previous bad working ones.

For me the cost was around $1000 CAD.

Oh wow I wonder if that is something we do in the USA? I would be very interested. How long do you expect the transmission to be good after that?

Just find a local transmission shop who are willing to do the swap for you.

But usually they might not provide you with the warranty since you supplied the part.

You can get the parts where I did my valvebody change from, I heard they ship the parts to the US, you just have to pay for the shipping.

Thanks,

Tom
