Not Starting

I have a 03 MCS JCW that has a couple of modifications. The car has been running fine ever since all that mods have been put in. However, one day it hesitated to start. I didn't think much of it until yesterday it left me stranded. It would not start at all. It would sputter and the starter was working perfectly, battery was good, it just would not turn over. It was cold on both occasions. What could it be?

Thanks in advance

could be the coils or pack not enjoying the cold, metal shrinking a bit and no longer creating a good contact.

my battery is on its way out, and ill go out let everything prime on the on position for 5-10s. then turn it over and sometimes it sputters and I loose all elec. turn it off, turn key to on, then it will most likely start if theres more juice to give

"battery was good but would not turn over"....
hmm...was the starter trying? a partial turn over..if so this means the starter is dead or the wiring, or the battery....
the fact it has ONLY happened in the cold, makes me think the battery is junk...
