I have a problem in Mini Cooper 06 r50
Cvt not changing speeds correctly

I used my scanner lunch x431
The fault say : transmission management

When I was driving the car last time i recorded this video to show you the scale movement


When remove my foot from the accelerator at the 80 km/h .. speed change to the 2nd speed then third then 2nd
It's playing with speeds 😓

Remove and replace tranny...
The r50 CVT was part of a class action lawsuit in the us...
Yes it IS THAT BAD...
Need I say more?
Wish I could say more...but usually when it misbehaves it is far too late to fix it with regular fluid changes....something mini said would never have to be done...it was "sealed" for life..then they starting failing, and REGULAR fluid changes were needed.
Yes my post is partially a vent, but other makers with early CVT issues, like Nissan fixed the cars, even out of warrenty...your price...about $5500-6500!!

 

I feel bad for anyone who buys an automatic, they should just stop selling them when they are guaranteed to fail.
