Valve timing
Valve timing
Thanks in advance for help! I am in the middle of timing chain/tensioner replacement. I have the valve timing tools. However, my crankshaft bolt was very tight and I removed the crank locating pin while removing this bolt to keep from breaking the pinning tool. Once the crank bolt broke free, I tried to pin the crank but got mechanical resistance to rotation and could not rotate it enough to pin the crank. I assume my crankshaft sprocket slipped and now my valve timing is off, giving pistion/valve interference.
I did not plan to remove the head.
Is there any way to recover from this without removing the head?
