2004 R50 Right side brake light not working

Hello,

I am having an issue with the right side brake light.

The following IS working fine:

Both rear lights
Both rear turn signals
Left brake lights

I have checked and replaced the bulb and that did not work.

If I connect the entire left lighting assembly to the right wire harness the bulb does not work.

If I connect the entire right lighting assembly to the left wire harness the bulb works.

I checked the fuses inside the car and they look fine.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Garry

Maybe the contact has rotated...

Test light would check the socket for power, then pop out the spring loaded contact and ensure it is centered and sprung correctly.

Good luck.

Motor on!

Thanks James. Are you saying that the pin inside of the rectangular connected that connects the harness to the tail light might not be making proper contact?
