clack noise when taking off in reverse

I'm having a strange noise when taking off in reverse . It's a laud clack noise on the drivers side . I can put the e brake on and try to back up and it won't do it. It only does it once the car rolls a foot or so. My mounts are new except for the drivers side upper gearbox mount . My hydraulic mount doesn't show signs of leaking . Plus I've got a vip mount brace installed. I've crawled under the car but have found nothing. It won't do it all the time but sometimes I can hear it a lil when I go from reverse to forward . My motor has a lil play when i grab it on the drivers side so i ordered a upper gearbox mount from arron at out motoring . It's a 05 r50 5 speed . Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Pull the rear wheels & look at your rear brakes. Maybe a brake pad is moving in the holder. I have had a similar noise with aftermarket pads that fit in the holder with a bit of slop.

It's not the rear brakes . It's defiantly coming from the front drivers side of the car . Someone mentioned it could be the axle but it doesn't make any noise when I'm turning tho. I'm loosing my mind . I've got the new upper gear box mount I'm gonna Install but I highly doubt that it's the problem . I just hate throwing parts at the problem.

This ^^^

The fact that the OP said it does not do it when the e brake is pulled led me to thing rear brakes. Check the easy stuff first, look at the brake pads front & rear. Sounds are a funny thing & sometimes come from a different place than you think.

I've heard brake slap before and this isn't it . I can let it roll back or forwards it won't do it . It's only when it's under a load in reverse . It won't do it if I back down a hill but it's more pronounced backing up a hill. The wheels will rotate about 3/4 of a turn and then it sounds like loud crack noise like billiard ***** hitting together.
