Only 1150 miles and P12A9 code :(

2013 R58 fJCW

Code P12A9. Boots pressure implausible. Pressure too high.

I noticed yesterday that something was going on but no light. The acceleration wasn't smooth. It felt like I didn't know how to drive stick and there was a slight hesitation while accelerating making it jerky but then smoothed out. This morning the light came on only minutes after leaving my house. I got to work and check for codes and there were none oddly enough. After a key cycle the light went out. Driving home the light came on again and I was able too pull this code. I did the obligatory open hood check sensors and plugs and all tight and clipped in.

Hopefully it's just a sensor. Made appt at dealer for tomorrow morning. We'll see what happens.

Any body else have this code before ?

Looks like a boost pressure sensor as I suspected. Bad thing is parts on back order from the father land. I took my car back after having the wonderful experience of driving a YARIS rental to work and back. Car still drive able so I'll just keep clearing the fault if needed till part comes in. They cleared the fault and reset the adaptations ( which if you are ever told is just a crock of bull dickies by the way ) as the adaptations are set in just a short while.

Still motoring. Not gonna keep a sensor between me and smiles.

Finally went back in to get the sensor installed. Temp/pressure sensor replaced. I'll know in a couple of days if all is good as it takes about 3 days to start acting up.

No harm done. Lucky I was on vacation to get it done while I waited.
