A/C recirc button shuts off in auto mode
A/C recirc button shuts off in auto mode
I have auto A/C in my 2013 R56 JCW and for some reason the air recirculation button will shut itself off after about 10-15 miles of driving during my commute to/from work. I drive about 33 miles one way and always have to push the button back on twice during my commute. Dealer says they could not replicate the problem and is normal because the car will want to do what it wants when on auto mode. However, I never had this problem when I had my 2011 MCS. Just wondering if someone has experienced something like this and would chime in. Thanks!

The manual recommends that you not use recirc for extended periods of time because the air quality starts to degrade the longer you have it set to recirc. I'd imagine there is some sort of timer (in both auto and manual mode) that limits the time you can have it set to recirc.
Thanks to everyone for chiming in so quickly. At least I know my car isn't the only one that behaves like this. I usually prefer to have the recirc button on due to most of my commute passing thru agricultural fields. I guess I will just continue to re-push it as needed.
