Hi, a newbie here. Just bought my 2010 R56 and this is my first Mini. The warranty will be up in the beginning of October. Any hints on how to get that last little bit of warranty work from the Mini dealer?

Is this the maintenance warranty and the full coverage warranty?


If it's maintenance, all you can do is go in one or two days before the expiration date....NOT the day of. the expire at midnight! Have them read the key. If anything turns up, you're in luck. If not, something will break the next week! J\K
If it is the full extended or factory warranty, go over the car with a fine tooth comb, look especially for leaks or funny noises and go in days before expiration. It is helpful if you say, I have oil drops on my garage floor right under here (and here) and I have this funny sound when... and let them determine what to do. If you say my aux vacuum pump is leaking oil, they might shine you on. Then, if something breaks after expiration, you have a record of the complaint if it corresponds, and perhaps a leg to stand on if no action was taken.
