Steering part search - since April

I need a steering arm for an 05 mini. The OEM part # is 32306763722. I've checked everywhere over the past few months and no one has this part, either OEM or aftermarket, at least not that I can find.

Has anyone found a source for this part? Anyone know what's going on? I know I am not alone. The parts suppliers I call know exactly what I'm talking about. The conversation I had went like this:

Me: Hi. I'm looking for a part that no one seems to have.
Him: Is it the 722 steering arm?
Me: 722?
Him: Are the last three digits of the part number 722?
Me: Yes.
Him: No one has one.

It's pretty bad when the part suppliers have the part number memorized. I had someone at Way Motors tell me the part does not exist anywhere in North America.

It's backorder everywhere from what we know. I need one too, but it's not bad enough to need replacement this season. Good luck finding one.

It's been back ordered for nearly 6 months. My car has been in the shop for 3 months. No one at Mini or BMW can even tell me when it might become available.

It's my daughter's car, and she baby sits two children in car seats. I don't want her using the car until the steering is right.

I called Way. I believe their exact response was "there isn't one of those in North America right now."

We have a running list right of at least 8 cars that need them badly. It's still on back order till Aug is what we are told. You might need to give a vin also when its order able. It was like that for a short time when we could get them early this year.
