Any OBDII scanner will work. Depends what you're looking for. The Scangauge can read and clear codes. I have one of those, but bought it after I purchase an Innova 3100a. The innova was ~$100 on sale, and reads and deciphers codes. With the scangauge (or other gauges that read codes) you'll need to look up what the code means.
