P2ee2?

Anyone ever heard of P2EE2 code? I have used the search function before anyone says that. If I clear the code, it just comes back the next time I start the car. I'm thinking it may have to do with needing a walnut blast.

But, I thought I would check here before I head into my local stealership.

Did you make any changes prior to the CEL? How is the mini running? Just for grins, I also did a search on that code. I only found one reference on a BMW forum, the fix was to correct the spark plug gap. Is too bad NAM doesn't have a sticky on all possible codes on a mini. They must be out there somewhere?

Looking up the BMW Diag Chart it looks like it reads 0x2EE2 and can cause code p0599. The codes reads "Thermostat Heater Control Circuit High". Looks like the order of diag on the BMW chart reads as follows:

1. Check wiring harness between the DME and Thermostat for wire chaffing and repair as needed. (Terminal 15 being the area of possible concern)

2. If no wiring issues found or wiring repair does not resolve DTC then replace the Thermostat housing assembly.

3. If replacing the Thermostat Housing assembly does not resolve DTC then replace the DME

This is what I found doing a search for the code. I've never had this code, so I'm not sure which is the most common issue. But I would see if anyone else on here has had similar issues and what they tried to fix. Going through the wiring harness can be tedious and T-stat housing isn't guaranteed.

spark plugs actually makes sense. I've been getting a considerable amount of unburnt fuel on the boot since the code popped up.

It's on ALLDATA. I work at a dealership so I have access to certain diag charts. Not all of them, but this was one of them

Well going through the flow chart like I posted earlier and in order of possibility it's either a wiring issue, thermostat housing issue (electrical issue), or the DME is bad.
